Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we went down to VA so that Will could have a meeting with his future boss. We also managed to fit in some fun, even though we were only down there for about a day.

We went to a little pumpkin patch. There were little animals to pet and lots of fun things to play on, as well as pumpkins everywhere and a corn maze.

She had a hard time staying on the swing, but she liked it.

My favorite part was watching family members race on the bouncy balls.

Mom was the champion!

Dad, not so much.

Ryan was bad at it too.

Ashlynne, however, was a natural.

Mom and Ryan raced.

Ryan flopped.

Reigning champion!

Then Ryan and Dad raced.

The winner is... unclear. Poor Ashlynne was standing there with a concerned look on her face. No wonder when her dad was being such a cheater.

Ethan just hung around, waiting for every available opportunity to kick his cute little pumpkin shoes off.

They both ended up with pocketfuls of corn.

She got to pick out her own little pumpkin.

We went through the corn maze. After 3 circles, Ellie found the entrance and yelled "play!" She then proceeded to run away. Will went with her. The rest of us tried to finish the maze. After following Ashlynne around for 10-15 minutes, I broke off to find my way out, and managed to find the entrance again. A few minutes later Mom, Dad and Ashlynne came out and left Ryan, Jenni and Ethan wandering around until they actually finished. I didn't take any pictures, unfortunately. But they would have all been corn. And one dead caterpillar that let us know we were walking in circles.

Then we all went to Cafe Rio. 

If this is what it's like living close to family, I'm pretty ok with it. :D
