Welcome to West Virginia

So we are officially in West Virginia.
In case you've never been to WV, here's some pictures from our drive out here to give you a feel of what it's like.

If you look closely, you can see it's a double rainbow.

West Virginia is the Mountain State, and they consider those green bumps mountains, even though they really aren't. But they are beautiful.
My favorite part is that the sky goes on forever.

We're currently in a extended-stay hotel room, which is awesome. It's like a little apartment, including 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, a small kitchen and free laundry facilities and breakfast. The only issue I have is that we don't have an oven, although we have a range. We'll just be making a lot of stove-top meals. Good thing food is a whole lot cheaper out here.

As for our house, hopefully we'll be closing and moving into it in about a month. We're really, really excited. So far things are looking good, although the inspection the other day pulled out a couple of surprises. Mostly that the attic is full of mold and the roof needs to be replaced. But for as cheap as we are getting the house, we can handle that. (Although we're hoping the seller will cover it).

So I'm trying to find ways to fill my time while Ellie makes messes and takes naps and Will works. And even though we've only been out here a couple of days, here are a few perks I've found to living out in hillbilly land:

-everything is cheaper, including food and gas
-the people are super friendly
-less humidity
-no traffic (comparatively speaking)
-beautiful landscape
-OUR OWN HOUSE! (at some point...)
